King’s College Hospital is synonymous with world-leading healthcare services and unrivaled expertise, both locally and internationally. Following on from the successful launch of Kings College Hospital London’s, Abu Dhabi Clinic, London King’s College Hospital is set to open two Clinics in Dubai in 2017 and 2018 and a hospital in 2018.
The hospital will be a state of the art 100-bed facility will be located at Dubai Hills within Mohammed bin Rashid City, and focus on four main treatment areas – paediatrics, endocrinology, orthopaedics & obstetrics and gynaecology – as well as providing other acute and general medical services. The hospital in 2018 follows the launch of the Dubai based Clinics and the flagship King’s College Hospital Clinic Abu Dhabi Clinic in 2014.
A significant proportion of the clinical staff, including all heads of departments, and over 30% of physicians will be coming from King’s College Hospital London and it’s partner hospitals in the UK. Collectively, the hospital and clinics in the UAE will employ up to 700 staff.
All clinical policies, procedures and practices in our facilities in the UAE will be established by King’s College Hospital London and reflect over 175 years of experience in delivering high quality care and world leading clinical outcomes.
The UAE’s strong ties with King’s College Hospital London go back to 1979, when the nation’s founder, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, provided a donation that helped establish the King’s liver research centre; now among the top three liver specialist centres in the world.
8th November 2016 saw the grounding breaking event of the Dubai Hospital and at the same time set plans to be the first hospital to offer liver transplant surgery in the UAE.
